Health and Wellbeing

We are providing an increasing number of sessions to support people’s health and wellbeing. These include fitness sessions, cookery courses and activities with a number of external partners to help improve the physical and mental health of local people.

We have partnered with Michaela, a local fitness & well-being instructor, who provides daily session designed to help people improve their health & fitness at all levels of ability.  Please refer to our Weekly Activities schedule for further details and timings (please note that these can change from week to week).  If you require further assistance please call the Centre on 01388 604575.

We also hold regular healthy cooking and “cooking on a budget” sessions with local partners to help encourage people to live a healthier lifestyle whilst also saving money.

We support local people’s well-being in many other ways too. For example, we work in partnership with a range of local organisation and groups including Mental Health charities, and we host a wide range of sessions designed to give support and encouragement to many different groups and individuals.

We also help people who are in times of financial difficulty or other crisis by providing support, advice or sign-posting to other organisations on matters including poverty, debt, hardship and bereavement.
